Werder Bremen defended passionately, but that was far from enough: with a demonstration of power, FC Bayern Munich impressively underpinned its lead in the Bundesliga in the Bundesliga. Once again from the penalty point of successful Harry Kane (56./90.+7) and Leroy Sané (82nd), the gates scored in 3-0 (0: 0), but the result only reflects the course of the game to a limited extent.
In recent years, duels between Bavaria and Bremen have almost always been clear affairs. Since 2010, Werder has conceded 26 bankruptcies in 33 competitive games, half of them with three or more goals – as in the 0: 5 in the first leg in their own stadium. But Bremen is, in addition to Borussia Dortmund, the only team that has won a Bundesliga game in Munich since the beginning of the 2023/24 season.
Bavaria finds hardly any funds against the Werder defensive
Last season Werder won 1-0 through a goal from Mitchell Weiser, brought the record champion to white glow with a strong defensive – and such a bulwark was waiting for the team of coach Vincent Kompany again. Otherwise, Werder defended with ten field players around his own penalty area so successfully that not too much happened for a long time. Schlenzer von Kingley Coman (28th) and Olise (33.) went over the goal, a long -range shot by Aleksandar Pavlovic, exactly into the arms of Zetterer (33.). It was only in the first minute of added time really dangerous when Kane from eleven meters headed just next to the Werder housing.
Kane and penalty – the result is always the same
Kane was even closer to his 20th goal of the season just 30 seconds after the restart. Werder had not yet sorted, Bavaria played quickly and the Englishman tried it from 18 meters with a violent shot that crashed into the crossbar (46.). But then Kane was given the opportunity that is currently a guarantee for a goal.
After a handball by Anthony Jung, there was rightly penalty for FC Bayern – and that is the territor’s territory, which has not shot a penalty for almost 25 months. Against Werder, Kane remained ice cold, shot flat into the corner with the full tension and converted from the point (56.) for the 28th time in a row.

The Bayern ban was broken – and it would have been almost comfortable quite quickly. Kane was free back in front of the goal a little later, but this time he grimaced unusually with his left foot (59.).
Sané ensures the overdue decision
Werder defended well, but now the team, whose coach Ole Werner was sitting in the stands at Mainz 05 due to a red card last week, was aggressively duty. The problem: Bayern did not allow it and continued to put on the opponent. After a header from Upamecano, Zetterer had to prevent the 0: 2 with a great parade (67.).
Despite all the dominance that showed up in all facets, the game was not yet decided when the game was 80 minutes old. But that changed in the 82nd minute: Substitute Konrad Laimer flanked to substitute Leroy Sané, who only had to push into the empty goal from three meters – and only a few seconds after he came into play for Coman.
Cane can get from the point again
After a foul from Jung on Musiala, Kane also converted his second penalty (90.+6) after a foul. Bremen, who had previously thanked Zetterer several times that the result had not already been significantly higher, had only two harmless shots in the entire game, came up with an Expected goal value of 0.1 (Bavaria: 4.72) .
Munich also had a 70 percent possession of the ball, made little mistakes with a 94 percent pass rate and also won the majority of the duels. The counterattack also suffocated the defensive in the germ. With an impressive performance, Bayern expanded their lead to seven points on the only pursuer Bayer Leverkusen.
