Marcel Lotka is number three at Borussia Dortmund. But his prospects at the club are manageable. A change is considered conceivable.
According to a media report, BVB goalkeeper Marcel Lotka could leave Borussia Dortmund this winter. As the “Ruhr Nachrichten” reports, 1. FC Heidenheim is said to be interested in the 23-year-old. The Bundesliga club has even made an initial offer. Since Lotka’s contract expires in the summer, Heidenheim could be successful with a comparatively cheap offer.
The young goalkeeper has been under contract in Dortmund for two and a half years and came on a free transfer from Hertha BSC in the summer of 2022, where he even made a few appearances in the Bundesliga.
In Heidenheim, Lotka would be the challenger to regular goalkeeper Kevin Müller, who is now 33 years old and has been playing in Heidenheim for almost ten years. However, the Heidenheim promotion keeper is showing inconsistent performances in the current season. With a little more competition, this could possibly change.
