The Bundesliga game between 1. FSV Mainz 05 and 1. FC Union Berlin, which was originally scheduled for last Friday but was canceled due to weather conditions, will be rescheduled for Wednesday, February 7th. The game in Mainz’s Mewa Arena will then kick off at 6:30 p.m., as the German Football League announced on Monday.
For Union, despite the elimination from the European Cup, there are two “English weeks” right at the beginning of the year: On January 24th, the game at Bayern Munich on matchday 13, which was also canceled due to massive snowfall, will be rescheduled (8.30 p.m.).
The DFL benefits from the fact that both clubs have already been eliminated from the DFB Cup. The cup quarter-finals between 1. FC Saarbrücken and Borussia Mönchengladbach are also on the program on February 7th. This game will kick off at 8:45 p.m. in the evening.
