Buffalo and party collective Herrensauna launch shoe collection

Buffalo Source and Herrensauna present a joint shoe collection.

The German shoe retailer has teamed up with Berlin party collective Herrensauna and created a party-ready shoe line, Buffalo announced Thursday.

Buffalo’s new collaboration label Source, launched last year, aims to connect the footwear label with underground culture. They seem to have found a suitable partner in Herrensauna, an organizer of club nights in the techno scene. For its raves in industrial event locations, the queer party collective with hedonistic tendencies mostly hires newcomers and ‘underdogs’ from the music world.

The collection includes three black unisex shoe models whose common feature is a sturdy sole for dancing the night away. The ‘Men’s Sauna Creep’ is Buffalo’s reinterpreted derby shoe, which, in addition to its lacing, also has a removable strap. The ‘Men’s Sauna Trakker’ offers the functions of a hiking shoe, while the ‘Men’s Sauna Mud Trakker’ has a mud look that is reminiscent of off-road raves.

To celebrate the market launch and to mark the collaboration, the collaborators are hosting a party in London on November 30th. The collection will be available from December 1st in stores and the online shops of Buffalo Source, Herrensauna and the British fashion platform LN-CC.
