Second division soccer team Eintracht Braunschweig will have to do without Filip Benkovic until at least the beginning of February.
A hip arthroscopy in Italy revealed an injury to the labrum (joint lip) of the Croatian centre-back after recurring minor complaints. The club announced this on Thursday.
“The loss of another regular player from central defense after Brian Behrendt obviously hits us,” said sporting director Peter Vollmann about the player on loan from Udinese Calcio.
