ROma, 10 Jul. (askanews) – An immersive experience in one of the Renaissance masterpieces. With “Brunelleschi’s Dome -building the Impossible” visitors will be able to discover the Dome of the Florence Duomo in a virtual environment full of details, between the background and anecdotes on its construction.
The initiative for the Duomo was born thanks to the collaboration between Way Experience, which deals with immersive cultural experiences and the work of Santa Maria del Fiore. It lasts about 10 minutes (with the voice of the actor Antonio Palumbo) the experience (usable at the VR space) is divided into three moments: we find ourselves catapulted into the heart of the Cathedral, witnessing the early construction phases, with Brunelleschi telling the famous dispute with Lorenzo Ghiberti for the assignment.
Then the revolutionary project for the dome comes to life, while admiring the construction site and techniques put in place; Finally, here is the masterpiece, with great attention to visual reconstruction also for the windows and frescoes inside.
