Just like in many places in the province, Bruges is also introducing a new waste policy to reduce residual waste. The city council wants to introduce this from June. And in Bruges, just like in other cities, there is criticism. An additional city council meeting will therefore take place on Monday with an important agenda item.
“We want a new and revised plan that takes into account good communication with the people of Bruges,” says Jasper Pillen. But the new plan causes misunderstanding among the population, says Reuse van Groen: “We actually see that all those people from Bruges do not get an answer to those many questions. There is no answer to all those questions because the waste plan is not properly developed.”
