Bredace beach volleyball player Emi van Driel won bronze on Sunday, together with her doubles partner Mila Konink, at the Challenge tournament in Nuvali in the Philippines.
The duo was too strong for Valentyna Davidova and Anhelina Chmil from Ukraine in the battle for third place. The score was 22-20 and 21-18.
It is the first time that 25-year-old Van Driel and 20-year-old Konink, who have recently formed a team, have won a medal at a Challenge tournament. So far they have not advanced beyond the quarter-finals.
