“I had already heard good stories about Almere City FC, it is an ambitious club that wants to play Eredivisie again next year,” says Jacobs on the Almere City website. “In addition, I already knew a few boys from the selection, including of course my brother. For me all reasons to give full gas to end with the club at the top two next year.”
Jacobs played at FC Volendam last season, the club where he also went through the youth education. AZ picked him up at the end of the youth, where he also debuted in professional football. In 2019 Jacobs started working at SC Cambuur. He also played at Viborg FF in Denmark.
He obtained his PhD last season with FC Volendam to the Eredivisie. However, the midfielder was allowed to look forward to a new club. With the degraded Almere City, Jacobs will play again in the first division next season.
