Brian Brobbey was allowed to start back in the starting lineup for the first time in over a month. The number 9 of Ajax immediately scored two goals during the 7-1 victory over Excelsior. Brobbey understands that he had to slow down in recent weeks, but expect that he will be back at the kick-off in the coming weeks.

Brobbey, who was bought back from RB Leipzig for 16 million euros this summer, has made few minutes in recent weeks. But last night Brobbey was back in the starting lineup. And with two goals in his pocket, he hopes to stay there for the time being. “I now expect that I will play, yes. What I just said: if a striker scores, you should not just take him out.”
