Difficult, but three points for Ajax. The Amsterdam team defeated Heracles Almelo in the east of the country, 2-4. Brain Brobbey scored twice and Steven Berghuis and Kristian Hlynsson scored the other goals for Ajax.
Without Steven Bergwijn and Jordan Henderson, Ajax played on the artificial grass field in Almelo. The start seemed quite good, as John van ‘t Schip’s team showed. Only against the odds, Heracles took the lead. Jizz Hornkamp, who has a past as a youth player for Ajax, benefited from an error in judgment by Jorrel Hato, 1-0.

Fortunately, Ajax recovered quickly after this false start. Who else but Brian Brobbey was the celebrated man again. The Amsterdam team’s top scorer handled a beautiful pass from Benjamin Tahirovic excellently and then finished as only he can. With his back to the goal, he turned away and shot the ball in hard.
Big lead
After a few seconds in the second half, Ajax could thank its goalie Diant Ramaj that Thomas Bruns did not give the Almelo team the lead. The long-acclaimed goalkeeper made an excellent save from the Heraclied’s effort. Then Ajax took over the initiative. Thanks to excellent goals from Steven Berghuis and Brobbey, the Amsterdam team took a big lead, 1-3. Then you expect the points to be in and go to Amsterdam, unfortunately that scenario did not work.

With a bit of luck, Mario Engels ensured that the tension returned to the match after an hour of play. The substitute from the Almelo team shot the ball hard through Hato’s upper leg. This tying goal gave Heracles the feeling that there was more to be achieved. Several shots were fired towards the Amsterdam goal.
Hlynsson
Fortunately, Ajax held out and Kristian Hlynsson scored the liberating 2-4. The Icelandic midfielder turned the ball into the left corner with his left foot after an excellent reception. The sixth goal this season for the young talent.
After nineteen games, John van ‘t Schip’s men have the same number of points as AZ. The Alkmaarders will visit SC Heerenveen tomorrow afternoon. Ajax itself, as number five, will receive leader PSV in the Johan Cruijff Arena next weekend.
Ajax line-up: Ramaj; Gooijer, Rensch, Hato, Martha; Tahirovic, Taylor, Hlynsson; Berghuis, Brobbey, Forbs
