Broad coalition sounds the alarm about intervention in infrastructure: ‘Minister Karremans puts the Netherlands in a bind’

Provinces, municipalities and the business community are raising the alarm about the plan of infrastructure minister Vincent Karremans, who wants to largely halt new road and rail projects. According to them, the Jetten cabinet is putting the Netherlands in a bind by focusing almost exclusively on maintenance. “This is insufficient and dangerous for the future,” warns chairman Ina Adema on behalf of all provinces.
