After publishing her memoir, Spears surprises with the prospect of a new track.
Britney Spears has announced via her Instagram account that she is working on new music. Accordingly, she would like to release a new single soon. If new sounds do indeed come to fruition, this will be Spears’ first solo music since she was released from her conservatorship in November 2021.

“I wrote a new song,” she posts alongside a screenshot from the “Overprotected” music video from 2001. According to the caption, the track is titled “Hate You To Like Me.” Although she emphasizes that the song does not imply a “feud” with anyone.
“No animosity towards anyone…just a bit of narcissism in a claimed, self-entitled way,” she adds. “It’s about creating interest by boosting my ego with my eyes closed. I hear important people do that these days.”

The announcement of the upcoming piece follows the release of her memoir “The Woman In Me” on October 24, 2023. The book provides insight into Spears’ career, relationships and her 13 years of conservatorship.
