The British Prime Minister Keir Starmer says “ready” to be “prepared” to send British troops to Ukraine to help guarantee safety if a peace agreement is concluded.

“I am not saying that lightly,” he writes The Telegraph. “I feel very deeply the responsibility that is accompanied by the possible endangering British soldiers.” But according to Starmer, long -term peace in Ukraine is essential “if we want to put Putin off in the future of further aggression.”

The British Prime Minister thinks that the United Kingdom can play a “unique role” in the peace process as a bridge between Europe and the United States. “The United Kingdom is willing to play a leading role in offering security guarantees to Ukraine.”

Starmer will participate in a top consultation organized by French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Ukraine and European Security this Monday afternoon, where Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof will also be present. “The crucial days that we have ahead will determine the future safety of our continent,” he writes about that.
