British playwright Tom Stoppard has died at the age of 88. This was announced by his management United Agents. Stoppard won an Oscar for writing the screenplay for the 1998 film Shakespeare In Love. Other well-known works by Stoppard include the plays The Real Thing and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.
