Brighton & Hove Albion extend contract with Alexis Mac Allister

Midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has extended his contract with Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion, which was originally scheduled to run until 2023. The 23-year-old Argentinian, who was bought from Argentinos Jrs. for €8m in 2019. had moved to the island signed a new working paper with a term until 2025 including an option for a further year.

“I am very happy for Alexis and the club. He’s an important player for us and it’s very good that he signed this new long-term contract. I look forward to continuing to work with him, helping him improve and seeing him play at the World Cup next month,” said head coach Roberto De Zerbi, looking at the most valuable of the moment along with Moisés Caicedo, Robert Sánchez and Leandro Trossard Pro in the squad of the “Seagulls”.

“We’ve been discussing a new contract for weeks and I’m very happy that everything has been agreed and signed. I’m really happy here in Brighton. I’m grateful for the opportunity the club has given me to come to England and play in the Premier League and it’s been an incredible journey. (…) I now enjoy working with Roberto De Zerbi with a top coach and would like to support the club in making further progress,” added the 7-time national player for the “Gauchos”, who has already scored 4 goals this season scored in 11 league games.
