Bridget Maasland has thrown a pointed jab at Jorik Scholten, better known as Lil Kleine, questioning his commitment to reconnecting with his son. “He can surely resist the temptations to get in touch with his son,” she remarked, highlighting a glaring issue in the artist’s life.

Jorik Scholten’s troubles began in 2021 when he was arrested after a video surfaced showing him assaulting his then-fiancée, Jaimie Vaes. Following a string of charges, a trial, and a conviction, he quickly moved on with a new Ferrari, a new girlfriend, and a fresh barrage of Instagram posts. This is how the entertainment world works: just wait for the storm to pass.

The Materialism of Fame

Jorik’s minimal remorse for his actions seems to overshadow any thoughts about his son growing up without a father. His focus appears to be more on his flashy lifestyle—what color his new car is—rather than the emotional responsibilities that come with fatherhood. In his latest ‘documentary’, it is evident that everything revolves around money and ego.

As noted by RTL Boulevard voice-over artist Jeroen Kijk in de Vegte, this third documentary featuring Lil Kleine presents yet another display of his extravagant behavior.

Wake Up and Fix Your Life!

The only notable moment in the documentary arises when manager Breghje Kommers expresses her frustration. “I see behavior that deeply concerns me, and I want it to stop. Wake up and fix your life!” she implores.

Interestingly, this is the wife of Ali B, providing a hilarious twist to the narrative. Thankfully for Jorik, he seems to take her seriously, as documentary maker Sacha Visser points out: “When she gets angry, suddenly he listens.”

Bridget’s Blunt Commentary

Does Jorik listen? According to presenter Bridget Maasland, not really. “If he does listen, it’s mainly for business reasons; he can also resist temptations to reconnect with his son,” she commented.

Bridget laments that the documentary largely ignores these critical issues. “It doesn’t really address that angle; it’s focused on the business aspects instead.”

A Divided Opinion

Entertainment expert Shay Kreuger, always seen at the desk wearing her signature large glasses, shares her thoughts. “I don’t believe anyone should be punished for their life, but those images I saw a couple of years ago were tough to digest,” she reflects.

Considering the documentary, she adds, “When you refuse to address the woman by her name, it makes things difficult for me to digest.”

The ultimate question that lingers is: Does he even remember the name of his son?
