It’s been two years since AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson returned to the band for their 16th album, Power Up. Since then, the band has been quiet again, but Johnson can imagine continuing to record with AC/DC. “I’d love to get back into music, whether it’s guesting with someone or actually playing live with the guys,” Johnson said in an interview “Billboard.com”.
“I’ve heard the expression ‘Sooner hell freezes over’ a million times when people say ‘I won’t do it again.’ But I would be willing. I think everyone is hoping to create more music,” Johnson said. He describes AC/DC as “a kind of entity that is still working”.
Johnson left the band in 2016 because of hearing problems: doctors warned he could lose the rest of his hearing if he continued playing with AC/DC. He was replaced on the current tour by Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose.
Johnson has just published his autobiography entitled The Lives of Brian. The book will appear in German on October 26 as “Die Leben des Brian. The Autobiography”. He was last on stage at the tribute concert for the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, where he performed the AC/DC song “Back in Black” with Metallica drummer Lars Ullrich and The Darkness singer Justin Hawkins.
