Brian Brobbey has set his sights on a permanent return to Ajax. The striker is currently rented from the German RB Leipzig, but wants to stay with the team from Amsterdam next season.
Brobbey, who is an Ajax player again after six months at RB Leipzig, told this to the Telegraph. †If it is up to me, I will play for Ajax next season. a hundred percent. I’m not done in Amsterdam yet.”
Coach change
Brobbey left for Leipzig last summer on a free transfer, where he signed a four-year contract. Trainer Julian Nagelsmann, who saw it in the Amsterdammer, made the switch to Bayern Munich not much later. Under the new trainer Jesse March Brobbey had a hard time, he got few playing minutes and hardly any opportunities.
In January Brobbey returned to Amsterdam. “It was only then that I realized how much I had missed the club, the boys and the atmosphere,” he says. “I think they (his management, ed.) will soon sit down with Leipzig. It would be great if Ajax can buy me back.”
