Comes from Hull City

Just a few days after Aaron Hickey (20) made a record purchase of 16.5 million euros, FC Brentford presented Keane Lewis-Potter (21), the new most expensive transfer in the club’s history. As the club announced on Tuesday, the left winger has signed a six-year contract with an option for another. The England Under-21 international comes from second division side Hull City, who are expected to earn €19m. Due to possible bonuses, the sum should be able to increase to up to 25 million euros.

Lewis-Potter was trained at Hull City where, despite his young age, he has established himself as a regular in recent seasons. He made 48 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring 13 goals and providing three assists. Meanwhile, he didn’t miss a single minute in the league. In the most recent championship update, the attacker was one of the biggest gainers in market value, posting a plus of €1m to currently €12m.

“It fits perfectly into the Brentford model. He’s a good young player who we think has the qualities to play in the Premier League now. He will continue to develop,” commented Brentford coach Thomas Frank on the commitment.
