Brazilian President Luiz Inácio ‘Lula’ da Silva today vetoed a bill that would drastically shorten the prison sentence of his predecessor, Jair Bolsonaro. Bolsonaro is serving a 27-year prison sentence for his involvement in a coup attempt after he lost the 2022 elections.
