Brazilian Petrobras is allowed to start oil drilling near the Amazon estuary after years of struggle

Brazilian state oil company Petrobras has been given permission to drill for oil near the mouth of the Amazon River in Brazil after a years-long battle with environmental organizations. According to Petrobras, drilling will begin immediately and will last approximately five months.
