Davide Ancelotti returns to the coaching staff of the Brazilian national team and supports his father Carlo. He will be back on the bench this month.

Davide Ancelotti will support his father Carlo as assistant coach of the Brazilian national team. The 36-year-old was released from Brazilian club Botafogo shortly before Christmas after five months in charge. Now he returns in time for the friendlies against France and Croatia.

As the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) confirms, Davide Ancelotti will play alongside his father against France on March 26th and against Croatia on March 31st. This decision was made with the upcoming World Cup in mind.

In June last year, Davide Ancelotti gave up his role as assistant coach of the Seleção to take up his first head coaching position at Brazilian first division club Botafogo. After a sixth place in December, his career ended again with a mixed record (15 wins, ten draws, eight defeats). He previously supported his father Carlo as an assistant coach at various stations such as Bayern Munich, SSC Napoli, FC Everton and Real Madrid since 2016.
