An outbuilding at Restaurant Boshuys Hermitage in Oisterwijk was completely burned out on Wednesday evening. The fire in the building on the Poshoornseweg broke out around a quarter to eleven in the woods outside the center. Several fire brigades pulled out to help extinguish. It is not yet clear how the fire started.
The fire brigade of Oisterwijk and Haaren were quickly on the spot. Corps from Tilburg, Helvoirt, Moergestel and Diessen were also alerted, including for a platform and an extra water transport.
The outbuilding is right next to the restaurant and a home. The fire brigade managed to prevent the fire from skipping on these two buildings. Nothing was left of the outbuilding.

There is an asylum seekers’ center near Boshuys Hermitage. According to the safety region, the wind was not in that direction, the smoke went the other way. Residents of the AZC had no inconvenience of that.
A little before midnight the fire was under control and not much later the signal was given. The fire brigade remained on the spot to extinguish. People who suffered from the smoke was advised to keep windows and doors closed and eliminate mechanical ventilation.
