Looking back at Mia & Dion’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, Bram Moszkowicz thinks that their mentor Duncan Laurence should be ashamed of themselves. “He’s a hypocrite!”

We will probably never hear from the out of tune couple Mia & Dion again, but their mentor Duncan Laurence has built quite a career in recent years. The Eurovision debacle therefore causes him more damage than his protégés. And according to Bram Moszkowicz that is more than justified.

‘Shame on you!’

Bram thinks that Duncan really dropped too many stitches as their supervisor. “I was wondering: this Duncan L… What’s that man’s name? Lawrence. They were his protégé, weren’t they? Isn’t that man ashamed?” he says Show news.

Private boss Evert Santegoeds then: “No, he is mainly concerned with himself and he can perform again on Saturday. How he squeezed himself in between… He gets to give a great performance as an intermission number and it is completely cruel that he is going to dedicate that part to Mia & Dion.”

Crazy combo

For colleague Anouk Smulders, Duncan is also a bit done. “I think it’s a bit of a crazy combination, that you accompany them and then also sing yourself. Then he says: ‘I’m not going to release the single now, because I’m accompanying them.’ But that timing is of course very bad.”

Bram: “It’s just hypocritical.”

Anouk: “Yes, I am done.”

Bram: “Yes, me too.”

Victim

Mia & Dion simply fell victim to Duncan and the Eurovision team of AvroTros, says Johan Derksen. He says in Inside today: “The two of that duo can’t really do much about it, because they have started to believe in themselves too much. Because of all the publicity, they really thought they were stars, but that’s a misconception.”

He continues: “They can’t help it, but it’s the committee. They have those two from a country full of good singers nobodies chosen.”

Pharisee

Who does Johan puke on the most? Cornald Maas. “That mister Maas is the greatest Pharisee. He is first talking along and wants those two. He will then play to the media that it will all work out and at the end of the song he can also comment on the NPO.”

“This has nothing to do with any form of journalism. I think it’s really disgraceful.”
