Malignant brain tumors, such as glioblastoma, are among the most difficult to treat, and often even timely interventions can only extend life and improve its quality, but do not defeat the cancer. However, research is continuing to work towards finding a cure, ei researchers from the Italian Institute of Technology have discovered that a “cocktail” of molecules (11 different RNA strands) is capable of weakening brain tumors. The study was coordinated by Dr. Davide De Pietri Tonelli and was published on Molecular Therapy – Nucleic Acids.
