The new home from Brad Pitt, bought according to Spanish media for around 5.5 million euros, is a striking structure. The oval -shaped, glossy white construction with the name Casa Xasteros is reminiscent of a UFO. The name refers to the designer: the Greek architect Nikolaos Xasteros built the house in 1969.

Then it was the French collector Clément Cividino who restored the house and giving a temporary place in a vineyard in Girona, on the Costa Brava. Free to view for interested parties.

It was finally Pitt who bought Casa Xasteros. The Hollywood star would have already done that last year, but kept the purchase quiet for months. In the meantime, the futuristic home is in California, where Pitt has collected a personal collection of architecture.

From Spain to the US

The move from Spain to the United States was not a breeze: the house had to be completely taken apart. A complex operation. Then all different parts, such as the roof and the walls, entered some containers. Once in California the house was put together again.

Nothing is known about the interior. The actor gives little price about the final destination of his house.

It is known that PITT has had a passion for special architecture for some time. He is a designer and collector of design and already bought various homes with a striking aesthetics. He previously designed sustainable houses for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
