The international top stars of the whitewater scene gather for the World Championships in the Fugger town. The Bavarian stars around Ricarda Funk, Elena Lilik, Sideris Tasiadis and Hannes Aigner rely on their home advantage. They all live and train in Augsburg and will be fighting for gold, silver and bronze at their home World Championships starting next week (July 26-31).

At last year’s title fights in the Slovakian capital of Bratislava, the DKV team won two titles and a total of three further medals with Lilik and Funk. At the Olympic competitions in Tokyo shortly before, Funk’s kayak gold was the outstanding result of a total of four podium finishes.
