A boy was seriously injured on Monday morning in an accident with a truck on the site of a transport company in Waalwijk. The truck’s driver touched the boy when reversing. The accident happened on the site of transport company KLG Europe, on the Kroonweg in Waalwijk. The victim was put in a pinch between the truck and the loading pit. He was rushed to the hospital.
Two ambulances and a trauma helicopter came to the scene of the accident. The boy had to be freed from his plight. He had to be stabilized by the trauma team. Exactly how much he is injured is not yet known.
The police are investigating how this accident could happen. It is also examined whether all safety measures were complied with during reversing. Victim Support has been engaged for those involved and witnesses.
