The boy is said to have been busy with a group of friends in the area on Saturday evening with a game of Belletje Lellen. Around 11 p.m. the occupant of one of the houses where they had rang the bell and opened the fire. According to the police, the boy would have been hit several times and would have died of his injuries later in the hospital.
The police report to have arrested someone, but after interrogation that they have released again.

Belletje Lellen has recently gained popularity in the US. It is not the first time that a game ends on a shooting. In May, a resident of a house in the state of Virginia would have shot a high school student after the teenager with two friends had punched on the door of the shooter during the game. In July last year a teenager was shot after he and a group of friends rang the bell with an armed homeowner in the state of Maine. And in 2023 a man from California was found guilty of the murder of three teenagers who had been a bell with him.
