Boxer Kanters still in action at the Ben Bril Memorial: “Trainer managed to glue everything together”

After the jury failed to select a winner in the match between Serginio Kanters and Mohamed El Ach last year, the boxer was clear: “This is a shame and I will never fight here again,” Kanters said. Yet the Zaandam resident will be present again this year at the Ben Bril Memorial.

“I left him alone. Time heals all wounds and after a while I called his trainer Peter Gebbink and asked if he wanted to fight Ben Bril again,” says promoter Hans de Bruijn.

“Serginio is a pacer. He is a spectacular fighter, so Hans de Bruijn would really like to have him at the Ben Bril Memorial,” said Peter Gebbink. “My trainer managed to put everything together. So I can just fight on the Ben Bril again,” says Kanters.

Köhlen also in action

And so on October 16, the North Holland boxer will be back in action in the Royal Theater Carré. He will compete against the experienced Belgian Islam Teffahi. Xavier Köhlen also takes action. He will defend his BeNeLux title against the Albanian Meriton Karaxha.
