The boss of the federal police are accused of tampering in parliament. Independent MP Jean-Marie Dedecker claimed during a hearing that Commissioner-General Eric Snoeck bought a luxury car in 2023 without approval from the Finance Inspectorate. “He was 21,000 euros too expensive, but Snoeck did his enthusiasm.” HLN was able to view the memorandum and it leaves little to the imagination. Yet the federal police say that the purchase was necessary. Snoeck himself refers that he would have ‘turned’.
