Botic van de Zandschulp quickly advances to the quarterfinals of Munich | Tennis

Van de Zandschulp started energetically on the center court of the clay tournament in Germany and he won the first four games. He never got into trouble and after just over half an hour he finished the set with a strong serve.

“I started very well in the first set and in the second set it was more of a struggle. Finally we have some better weather here.” The Munich tournament has been hindered by rainfall in recent days.

In the last eight, Van de Zandschulp will face Norwegian Casper Ruud or Alex Molcan from Slovakia on Friday. Last year, the Dutchman achieved one of the best victories of his career at the US Open against Ruud. He lost to Molcan in Marrakech earlier this month.

Tallon groenpoor, the number 2 in the Netherlands, will not participate in Munich because he suffers from a neck injury.
