Tuomas Enbuske has admitted mental violence but denied physical violence.

  • Journalist Tuomas Enbuske is accused of assaulting his former female friend. The district court will give its judgment later.
  • According to the woman, Enbuske beat her “blue” in the summer of 2019. She did not report this to the emergency center because of shame.
  • According to Enbuske, this has been a dispute that a woman started. She claims that she was tightening her in the video she was shooting.

Journalist Tuomas Enbuske, 47, was contacted by the police just over a year ago. She was suspected of assaulting her former female friend on June 9, 2019.

Enbuske denied having committed a crime. According to him, the scream was on the day and otherwise, until a female friend became accessible to her.

– He started pushing me with two hands and was clearly annoyed when I didn’t resist it.

– In the end, the situation progressed to me that I was forced to take him out of my hands so I could stop him. However, I was not violent.

The woman, for her part, said she woke up that the aggressive Enbuske would break down and rage.

– Tuomas hit me several times with a fist. I was pretty blue after that, the woman told the police.

– She ripped me out of hair and beat my head on the floor and wall and spit me on the face and fooled me.

“A turning point”

The Helsinki District Court will give its judgment on March 17. Eevi Karvinen

The woman said in police interrogations, both later in the district court, that the relationship had been overshadowed by Enbuske’s black -skinned behavior.

– He may have kept me awake at night and did not let me sleep. He was really jealous and controlled.

– The next morning he could send flowers to my workplace, and my colleague admired how wonderful a man I have.

The woman described the assault in June 2019 for a two -year relationship for a “turning point”.

– Trust and security disappeared from our relationship then. However, we had joint work projects, so we were dealing with each other.

An argument about tightening

The woman said she had described her bruise shortly after assault. According to Enbuske, injuries may have occurred in the case of adhesion. police pre -trial investigation material

The woman presented a video she filmed in the event of a dispute to support the crime report. According to Enbuske, the video is also staged.

– [Nainen] screams theatrically that hurts to hurt to tighten me later with it. That’s what he did. The video does not show the point where I hit him. Because that didn’t happen. I admit I spit yes.

According to Enbuske, the woman threatened to send a video to the press every few weeks or publish it on social media himself. The tightening lasted throughout the summer, Enbuske claimed to the police.

She said she agreed to be a “victim of manipulation” and got a variety of jobs for a woman in the media industry.

– Since the video has apparently not tightened enough economic benefits, it has only been delivered to the police at the last minute before the end of the prosecution.

Police suspected a former female friend of blackmail, but did not find evidence that supports suspicion. According to Enbuske, it is unreasonable to assume that evidence is still presented five years later.

Both of them ashamed

The woman reported the crime for assault about four and a half years after the events. Prosecution is expired in five years.

– At no time did I call the emergency center, and I didn’t want to mess up the outsiders. I was terribly ashamed.

The woman said she thought she would destroy Enbuske’s career and life if you report violence to the police.

– I somehow wanted to protect him, and nevertheless, he was a really important person for me then.

In the same words, Enbuske also explained to the police why he did not report the crime himself.

– I was so in love, and as a man I experienced a great sense of shame about being assaulted and blackmailing. The assault experienced by a man is still a taboo in our society.

Doubts on both sides

According to the woman, Enbuske rushed her from her hair so that a big obstruction of her hair came off. police pre -trial investigation material

Events almost six years ago were dealt with in the Helsinki District Court last week.

Enbuske is the only accused of the story.

Police had investigated the violence against a female friend Enbuske as mild assault, whose prosecution is expired in two years.

However, the woman denied in police interrogations that she had been abused by Enbuske.

– It may be that I have hit him with an open face in a situation when he has kept me against the wall. But that’s the only situation where I hit him if it can be called to hit it.

Enbuske said in the District Court that he had tried to exercise the right to prosecute the lawyer and accuse a woman of basic assault. However, the woman could not be challenged before the prosecution was expired.

The Helsinki District Court will give its judgment later.
