Peter Bosz is not happy with PSV’s first hour in the draw against Ajax. The coach is ultimately disappointed with the late goal conceded on Saturday evening: “I thought it would be 1-3.” Myron Boadu also attended the press conference after the match. He is open to a longer stay at the club.
“Based on the first hour in which we played dramatically, the result was justified, but based on the last half hour, in which we really played PSV football, we were very disappointed,” is Bosz’s first conclusion after the match.
“I had the feeling that we all wanted this, we also trained well this week. But I didn’t see that reflected on the field,” says the coach. Boadu agrees with that. “I don’t think it has anything to do with a trip to Ibiza.”
After sixty minutes, Bosz decided to change midfielders Joey Veerman and Paul Wanner. “I thought it was very static, very wide and back. And then I don’t want you to collect the ball between central defenders, because I can do that myself.” After the conversion, things went much better according to the coach. Ultimately, by regaining control of midfield, it turned out that the rest also started to play better.
Still, the 62-year-old coach is disappointed with the late goal. Especially because he has never won with PSV at Ajax. “I had the feeling it would be 1-3 rather than 2-2.”
Will Boadu stay at PSV?
For a long time it looked like Myron Boadu would be the match winner. He made the 1-2 on behalf of PSV. The striker’s contract expires after this season, but we may see him in the shirt of the Eindhoven team for longer. “I am open to staying, but it has to be right. I don’t know if that is the case, I just have to focus on the last matches and then we’ll see. Very politically correct, but I have no other choice now.”
