In the last few hours there has been whitewash in Zenica, the forecast indicates rain for tomorrow and therefore a heavy pitch. For this reason Gattuso preferred to move the flight
The hostile environment wasn’t enough: even the weather in Zenica didn’t promise anything good, so much so that the national team suggested a change of plan after an inspection carried out on site by a FIGC delegate. Snow has fallen in Bosnia in the last few hours. Temperatures are expected to rise but the rain should still weigh down the pitch. This is why Gattuso preferred to avoid carrying out the finishing training in the stadium where the match will be played, choosing to take advantage of one last morning in Coverciano. The team will therefore leave on Monday at 4.30pm with a charter from Florence and will reach Zenica around 7pm for the usual activities on the eve of the match: inspection of the pitch, which will make little impression when empty, and press conferences by the technical commissioner and a player.
