Several fire trucks were pulled out on Tuesday for a forest fire on the Vredepeelweg on the border of Overloon and the Limburg Vredepeel. The fire raged at the Kuulenweg. The Sein Brand Meester has since been given, the fire brigade is still busy with re -extinguishing for some time. Nobody was injured.
According to the Limburg Noord fire brigade, an area of 40 by 100 meters was on fire. Because of the drought, she scaled up to a very large fire. She managed to close the fire to prevent further expansion in the forests.
Fire brigade units from both Noord-Brabant and Limburg came to the fire. The area was closed so that the emergency services could do their work. There was no immediate danger for residents or traffic.
Local residents were advised to stay alert and to give emergency services plenty of room. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
