Borussia Mönchengladbach has signed left winger Yvandro Borges Sanches from the U19s to a professional contract. “Yvandro has made a great development and has matured with us to become a Luxembourg national team player. He’s incredibly talented, fast and strong in one-on-ones,” said sporting director Roland Virkus. The Bundesliga club did not provide any information on the term.

Borges Sanches made his debut for the senior national team in the World Cup qualifier against Serbia last September and has since won seven more internationals. In the past season, he played 15 times for the “Fohlen” in the A-Junior Bundesliga and also played briefly for the U23s in the regional league. “For me, Borussia was the first club abroad. The club immediately placed a lot of trust in me and I immediately felt very comfortable,” said Borges Sanches when announcing his new working paper. “I am very happy about the new contract and that Borussia is looking to the future with me.”
