Borussia Mönchengladbach plans charity game against Ukraine

The season in the Bundesliga is more or less decided for Borussia Mönchengladbach. The “foals” are therefore planning an event for a good cause.

Borussia Mönchengladbach has invited the Ukrainian national soccer team to their home country for the first game since the beginning of the war. In preparation for the playoffs for the World Cup on May 11, the team meets coach Adi Hütter’s Bundesliga team.

“We are very pleased that we can help the Ukrainian Football Association with this game and we hope that as many football fans from the region as possible will come to this game in the stadium and donate their entrance fee to a good cause,” said Borussia’s managing director Stephan Schippers. The proceeds are donated to charity in Ukraine and to people from the country. Entry to the game is free for Ukrainian citizens.

The Ukrainians, who will be doing a training camp in Slovenia from May 2nd, will be guests at Borussia Park from May 10th to 12th. They live there and can prepare themselves at the club’s training ground.
