Borussia Mönchengladbach will have to do without loan player Jordan for the time being and for an indefinite period of time. The 27-year-old center forward suffered a muscle injury in the adductor area during the draw in Freiburg, the Bundesliga club announced on Sunday. The “Foals” did not provide any information about the exact duration of the outage.
In Breisgau, the attacker, who is under contract with Union Berlin until 2024, had previously scored a goal and prepared another in the 3-3 draw. In his eleven competitive appearances for Borussia so far, the nine-time USA international has scored a total of four goals and two assists. Sports director Nils Schmadtke had already described Jordan’s injury-related substitution as “very bitter” on Saturday evening:
“It was all about securing balls, and Jordan is very good at that. He is very important as a wall player and puts his body in place. This gives us the relief we need.”
