From Madventures Famous journalist-presenter Tuomas “Tunna” Milonoff discusses in his recent book Flame (Johnny Kniga, 2025) Madventures pair Riku Rantala. The book tells how the duo gradually drifted into the break.

The book describes the character of the duo is different. Milonoff describes that the duo has separated the two since they have met.

Riku always returned his exam or material among the first, I was almost certainly the last.

It’s just a miracle that we were able to work together for so long.

In work situations, the division of labor in the duo remained the same from the start. According to Milonoff, Rantala took care of everything he thought he was doing better and more efficiently than Milonoff.

The downside of the coin was that while Riku took responsibility, he also took it from me. […] When Riku took responsibility for all those things, he unintentionally took me the opportunity to take responsibility.

The corona time was a decisive moment between the duo. Even before the corona pandemia, Milonoff and Rantala had worked on their own. Before the pandemic, however, they had made Madventures’ new season and two other joint production.

However, the pandemic changed a lot. In addition to joint meetings, the important corridor discussions ended. We moved away from each other than ever. Our calls decreased. I saw Riku in the shooting and speech gigs anymore. After the pandemia, he did not return to the office.

The book tells how the duo made an organizational reform for their Gimmeyawallet production company. Rantala’s speech gigs and TV work increased, while Milonoff felt that former friends were now competitors.

Riku was one of us, whose personal brand had grown in previous years in non -common programs. If someone, for example, was looking for a face for tourism, it would be clear that the choice would be on Riku, not for me. The arrangement was paralyzed, even though I realized that nothing was Riku’s cause.

As Rantala’s work increased, Milonoff was on sick leave due to exhaustion. However, he made a speech with Rantala. Common calls concerned

I thought of us as a divorce couple who was no longer united by the children, that is, in our case work. […] I can’t say anymore whether we are more than co -workers. Before, I would have been able to ask it. No longer do I know how.

However, over the years, the two were corrected. The duo spent last year with their families and their intention was to talk about things. In the end, Milonoff learned to treat the duo’s dynamics without confrontation.

Our programming was very different. I had evolved in evolution to ensure that the community was safe. Riku, on the other hand, was coded to act in tough situations so that the mind remained bright and even brightened under stress.
