Bonnie Tyler was scheduled to perform in Savonlinna on Friday, July 1. PDO

Singer Bonnie Tyler was supposed to perform on Friday, July 1 at the Savonlinna Soi event. However, the gig was canceled in the last meters due to technical problems. The event announced the cancellation on its Facebook page.

– The gig was canceled due to technical problems, which were tried to be solved until 00:45, and then the event organizer had to make a decision that the gig could not be held, because the noise permit granted for the event expired at 01:00, the publication informs.

On social media, the participants of the event criticized the weak information on the spot. The compensation has also seemed insufficient to many.

As a refund, the event organizer offers free entry to Saturday’s event to all those who bought tickets for Friday’s event. All those who bought a two- or three-day ticket will be offered a gift card for one of the summer 2022 Huwila Areena concerts as a refund, the event announced.

Iltalehti reached the CEO of RH Entertainment, which is organizing the event Riki Huhtalan to comment on the incident.

Huhtala tells Iltalehti that he does not know what kind of technical problems there were or whether they were solved during the evening.

According to Huhtala, he also has no information about how the matter was communicated at the venue.

– Due to technical problems, Tyler was unable to perform there, Huhtala tells Iltalehte.

Regarding refunds, Huhtala emphasizes that it is a festival gig.

– It was a festival gig and all the other artists performed there.

– We want to compensate customers for the fact that they can come to any Huwila event in the future, or if Tyler performs elsewhere, they can get tickets there. We cannot do more than this.
