Bon Jovi revise the songs of their 2024 album “Forever” with an impressive team of guest singers. Among them Bruce Springsteen, Jelly Roll, Jason Isbell, Joe Elliott, Avril Lavigne and Marcus King. The new version is entitled “Forever (Legendary Edition)” and will be released on October 24th.
An album out of necessity
Already this Friday the band “Hollow Man” with Bruce Springsteen and the new song “Red, White & Jersey” will be released.
“This album is more than just a collection of collaborations – it is an album that arose out of necessity,” explains Jon Bon Jovi in a statement. “My voice band rehab was a much-noticed process that took place in parallel to the publication of” Forever “in 2024. I was able to sing in the studio, but the requirements and burdens of a tour were still a bit out of reach. Without the opportunity to tour, I continued to work in the studio and called friends – great singers, artists, musicians and just great people. ”
“The result is an album with a new perspective and a new spirit – a cooperation album that proves that we all get ahead in this world with a little help of our friends,” continued Bon Jovi. “I feel great joy and gratitude when publishing this album and believe that you can feel it in music. I can certainly say that there is always something bigger than me, and that’s what we are.”
The future of the band remains uncertain
Bon Jovi have not been on tour because of Jon’s voice problems since 2022, but played individual appearances – most recently on June 14th in Nashville, Tennessee. It is unclear whether there will ever be a big tour again.
“I just want to play two and a half hours a night, four nights a week before I really go on tour,” said Jon at the “Pollstar Live!” Conference 2024. “But I trust my doctor.”
Recently, unfounded rumors made the round, drummer Tico Torres left the band. Torres contacted the official Bon-Jovi-Instagram channel by video and made it clear:
“I am here to get many rumors out of the world that I have read,” said Torres. “People call me and ask: ‘Did you withdraw from the music or the band?’ Well, I don’t know how to do this.
