A deceased person was found under suspicious circumstances on the Bourgondiëweg in Bovenkarspel on Wednesday evening. Police are not ruling out a crime. A 53-year-old man from the municipality of Stede Broec has been arrested.
On Wednesday evening, the Bourgondiëweg in Bovenkarspel was filled with police cars. This after the police had visited a house because of the missing of a woman who would live in the house. A police helicopter also circled above the neighborhood for some time.
The woman is said to have disappeared since last Monday, local residents previously told NH. Officers went door-to-door on Wednesday evening for a neighborhood investigation and were busy securing traces until well into the night.
Suspicious circumstances
It now becomes clear that a deceased person was found under suspicious circumstances that same evening. “A large tent was put over a car last night,” said a neighbor. The police have arrested a 53-year-old man from the municipality of Stede Broec on suspicion of possible involvement. He is still detained at the police station.
The police are also today conducting extensive investigations into the death and identity of the person.
