The board of 1. FC Nürnberg wants to apologize to the members on Tuesday. In an interview with the “Nürnberger Nachrichten”, Niels Rossow announced that he would publicly ask for forgiveness at the annual general meeting. The reason is massive problems with season ticket shipping at the start of the season.
Around 20,000 season tickets had not yet been sent before the first home game against Darmstadt or had errors. Rossow admitted that his team did not sufficiently follow up on a negligent service provider. The responsibility lies with him. The association reacted and commissioned a new service provider.
The season ticket breakdown wasn’t the only problem in the anniversary season. The search for a main sponsor also dragged on until twelve days before the start of the season. Several companies canceled at the last second, explained Rossow. In addition, the popular anniversary jersey was initially not available in sufficient quantities.
The general meeting will take place on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Kia Metropol Arena. The second half season tickets have also recently been on sale – a test for Rossow.
