Derek has also carried the Republican stamp when campaigning George W. Bush in election campaigns. He told Variety in an interview that he will no longer publicly say who to vote for.
– I supported Bush (when he was elected the 43rd president of his country) and I became one of the Republican poster girls. I don’t want to be labeled, he said.
Derek has done charity work for environmental protection, among other things. He is also known as a lover of horses.
