As part of the so-called speed marathon, thousands of speed checks were carried out in Brandenburg on Friday.

Between midnight and 12 p.m., police measured the speed of over 50,000 vehicles at 88 checkpoints across the country, officials said on Friday afternoon. About 2,000 speed violations were found.

The inglorious leader was a car driver who was flashed near Lübben at 123 kilometers per hour at the permitted 70 km/h.
