Trigeminal neuralgia is a chronic pain disorder of the trigeminal nerve. Since this is particularly responsible for the sensation of the face, the mucous membranes in the mouth and nose and the cornea, a disease of the nerve leads to severe pain that can resemble electric shocks.

Even before his recent health setbacks, Travis Barker had already struggled with various injuries. During rehearsals for the tour with blink-182, the drummer injured his finger several times until he ultimately had to undergo surgery.

Despite his recently diagnosed COVID infection, Barker is scheduled to play live with his band blink-182 in Lisbon on October 2nd. Neither he nor the venue have yet canceled the show. The band is currently on their first tour since Tom DeLonge’s return.

Barker had already been unable to take part in some concerts on the current European tour because his wife Kourtney Kardashian had to undergo emergency surgery during her pregnancy.
