The Senegalese apologized to his fellow player Keane and his other teammates. “I take full responsibility for my response,” he wrote. “Emotions can run high, but nothing justifies this behavior. I will ensure that it does not happen again.”
Everton won 1-0 against United. “I am proud of the team,” said Moyes. “With eleven players it would not have been an easy match, but with ten players it was an incredible achievement.”
