Bitter smack for Draisaitls Oilers

The Colorado Avalanche also won the second game in the NHL’s Western Conference Finals against the Edmonton Oilers for NHL star Leon Draisaitl. Two days after the 8-6 spectacle at the start, the Denver team went 4-0.

124 seconds in the second period were decisive, during which the hosts scored three goals. Top striker Nathan MacKinnon scored in the last third to make it 4-0. Augsburg’s Nico Sturm was not in the Avalanche squad again.

A team needs four wins to advance to the Stanley Cup finals. The next two games will take place on Saturday and Monday (local time) in Canada. The Western Conference winner then plays either the defending champion Tampa Bay Lightning or the New York Rangers in the Finals series. In the Eastern Conference, New York won the first game.
